The Portuguese town of Alvor is located about 1 km from the beach on the lagoon of the "Ria de Alvor". Even though tourism is one of the main sources of income here, Alvor has managed to retain its original character as a fishing village as much as possible. The only disadvantage: the Pestana Alvor South Beach is unfortunately only open as a beach hotel from the beginning of April to the beginning of November. Outside the bathing season, however, you can also fall back on the two sister accommodations of the same chain right next door: the hotel "Pestana D.
