Accommodation in Barbaresco
The place Barbaresco is enthroned on a hill above the Tanaro valley and is worth a visit just because of the observation tower "Torre di Barbaresco". The red wines of the same name are grown in the area around Barbaresco, which is why there are numerous vinotheques, wine bars, wineries and several restaurants with an extensive wine list in Barbaresco. On our hike through Piedmont we stayed in Barbaresco in the "Casa Boffa", a local winegrower who runs a modern and friendly bed & breakfast in the historical center of Barbaresco (Link: Casa Boffa).
We can warmly recommend the Casa Boffa: spacious, air-conditioned rooms, modern bathrooms, a beautiful panoramic terrace for a glass of the house wine to the aperitivo and last but not least the central but quiet location speak for the Casa Boffa.
Do not miss: The Torre di Barbaresco lookout tower is just a few steps away from Casa Boffa and is open until 19:00 p.m. (as of 2019, admission 5 €, information: www.facebook.com/barbarencoaperitower/).
