Accommodation in Costiglione d'Asti

The beautiful "Cascina San Michele" winery with six guest rooms is located on a promising hill just before Costiglione d'Asti (Link: Cascina San Michele). After a hard day of hiking, you can relax wonderfully on the spacious panoramic terrace. The view of the gentle hilly landscape of Piedmont is terrific. Also worth seeing is the view from a somewhat hidden, second terrace on the top floor of the winery: in clear weather, the Alps are visible from here.

Cuisine: Warm food is not offered in the Cascina San Michele, but the cold sausage and cheese platters are excellent.

Wine: The winery specializes in natural wines. Even many wine lovers may not be familiar with the term "natural wine": natural wines are organic wines, but go well beyond "organic". Natural wines are usually fermented spontaneously (i.e. without the addition of breeding yeasts) and are often bottled naturally cloudy. The world of smells and flavors of natural wines is therefore completely different from that of conventionally produced wines. The wines of Cascina San Michele are also very well tolerated due to their low sulfur content. Definitely try it!
