Accommodation in Monterosso al Mare
Monterosso al Mare is the first of the "Cinque Terre" on our long-distance hike. There are two options for staying overnight: If you are interested in a great view and are willing to spend the night outside of town, you should take a look at the "Albergo Suisse Bellevue" (Link: Hostel Suisse Bellevue). The 3-star hotel is approx. 2 km from the actual stage destination.
I preferred to spend the night directly in Monterosso al Mare on my long-distance hike - in the Hotel Margherita (Link: Hotel Margherita). The location of this hotel is much less spectacular, but it is located right in the center, very well maintained and much cheaper. In Monterosso al Mare there is also a worthwhile route for a short evening tour: If you head for the cemetery above the train station, you will find a small panoramic path with a beautiful view of the "Torre Aurora" tower when you descend.
