Accommodation in Rabat / Mdina

Malta accommodation hotel Point de Vue Rabat Mdina 3

Rabat / Mdina Hotels

In Mdina - the former capital of Malta - you feel like you were in the Middle Ages. An exploration of Mdina is particularly worthwhile in the evenings or in the morning, when no day tourist has yet strayed into the old town surrounded by huge city walls. If you have the necessary change, you can even spend the night within the city walls (Link: The Xara Palace Relais & Chateaux hotel). Most of the accommodations, however, are outside the city walls and thus officially in Rabat, the much larger twin city of Mdina.

Since I wanted to spend the night in Rabat at least as close as possible to the city wall, I decided to stay at the reasonably priced but fairly decent "Point de Vue" pension. This is located together with a restaurant directly opposite the city walls. Pension MYN is also said to be very good, which is also very close to the city walls (Link: Pension Point de Vue and  Pension MYN).
