Accommodation in St Paul's Bay

Malta Overnight at The Pearl Guesthouse St Pauls Bay 1

Hotels in St Paul's Bay

Stage 2 ends at the "Golden Bay". From here there are good bus connections to nearby "St Paul's Bay" on the other side of the island (only 5 km or 15 minutes by bus). It is true that you could stay overnight in the hardly to be overlooked 5-star hotel of the Radisson group right at the stage destination, but in "St Paul's Bay" you will find much cheaper hotels and guest houses. We highly recommend "The Pearl Guesthouse", a friendly family business with modern rooms and a chic roof terrace with a view of the bay (Link: The Pearl Guesthouse).

    Hello Frank,
was there a reason you chose st pauls bay over mellieha for the night? I am hesitating between these two places for this stage overnight stay. We spontaneously decided to travel at the end of November and will follow in your footsteps.

      Hello Nancy,

I actually stayed in both places: in Mellieħa, after the additional stage “Victoria Lines”, I stayed for one night in the Maritim Hotel there. The hotel was very good, and very cheap in the off-season. But I didn't find the place so worth seeing - at least right in the center where I stayed. Personally, I liked it better in St. Pauls Bay, especially in the area around the small port of St. Pauls Bay Harbor (the narrow / western part of the city), where the development is still fairly limited. As I've just noticed, "The Pearl Guesthouse" doesn't seem to exist anymore...
Therefore, I can only make a very vague recommendation.

Greetings and have fun hiking in Malta and Gozo!

      Frank
