Corfu Trail: Accommodation stage 1

Stage 1: If you are traveling on the Corfu Trail, an overnight stay in Kavos is practically a mandatory program: here is the southern starting point of the Corfu Trail and with the spectacular "white cape" the first highlight of this long-distance hike. The best way to get to the south of Corfu is by bus from Greenbuses (see practical information).

We have modified the first stage of the Corfu trail into a half-day circular hike (see Card). Advantage: Stage 1 can be easily integrated into the day of arrival. We checked into the hotel in Kavos before the hike and were therefore able to hike without luggage on the first day and swim on this beautiful, lonely beach:

This wonderful hike to the top makes up for the fact that Kavos itself is one of the less worthwhile places on Corfu: Kavos is particularly popular with younger, party-loving audiences. Numerous posters in town advertise the next foam party or similar. The selection of accommodations is large, but quite geared towards the target audience. Depending on the season, an overnight stay in a 3-star hotel is available from € 30, for example

• Hotel Mediterranean Blue, 3-star, quiet location in the south, just outside the center
• Olympion Village Hotel, 3 stars, somewhat withdrawn from the main street - and therefore a bit quieter at night (we stayed here, see picture at the top).

Dinner tip: There are numerous restaurants and taverns on the beach in Kavos with a view of the neighboring mainland.
