Stage 4: Today we cross the island from west to east and should definitely make a stop in Dafnáta: first of all, from here or from the nearby vantage point you have an excellent view of Corfu town and the entire south of the island. And secondly, there is Kostas Bar Walkers Point, which is run by a helpful Greek who, after many years abroad, is now dedicated to hiking tourism in his home country and looks after the southern section of the Corfu Trail (Link: Kostas Bar Walkers Point). The name "bar" is somewhat misleading: it is a business with a restaurant, affiliated pension (very cheap, but very well-kept and clean) and several holiday apartments distributed in the village.
"Kostas Bar (Walkers Point)" is therefore the automatic (and actually only) point of contact at this cozy, exactly one street wide village and thus the preferred accommodation for stage 4. Alternatives to this are approx. 300 meters lower on the east coast. ..

“Kostas Bar” is really fantastic! I stayed there for two days and was also able to eat excellent vegetarian food. The "bar" is at the same time a tavern, kafeneio and breakfast bar. Kostas also brokers various other apartments when his premises are occupied - it's best to just give us a quick call. He speaks very good English!
