Walking path from the city center to the airport Faro (5 km, 1:15 h)

The airport Faro is so close to the city center that you can reach the airport without a bus or taxi: if you don't have suitcases as luggage but are traveling with your backpack, you can walk to the airport.

The route between the station Faro and Faro Airport is 5 km long and leads along a scenic route along the lagoon landscape of the Ria Formosa. About half of the way runs on the beautifully designed cycle path "Ecovia do Litoral".

You should plan about 1: 15h walking time for the route. Compared to the bus trip, you save money and unnecessary waiting time. The route information is available free of charge as a GPX file download.

Note: The route begins / ends at the station Faro behind the tracks - please be careful when crossing the tracks!
