The historic center of Saint-Jeannet is picturesquely situated at an altitude of 450 meters, directly below the impressive Baou de Saint-Jeannet rock massif. However, most accommodations are located about 100 meters lower in the newer part of Saint-Jeannet, where numerous restaurants and a supermarket are also located. During our hike, we found the following accommodation options (the distances are measured from the U-Express supermarket): 200 meters away: The Avocado is a hotel with an attached restaurant, but it is located on a road with through traffic....
Coursegoule is a small mountain village in the hinterland of the Côte d'Azur. It's certainly crowded in high season, but exudes a pleasantly quiet atmosphere during the off-season/hiking season. The village's main streets and narrow side streets house a small supermarket, a crêperie, several restaurants, and a small wood-fired bakery. A French couple has opened the wonderful Coté Chapell bed and breakfast and a small tea room there as a joint retirement project. Gréolières is the second mountain village where we spend the night on our long-distance hike. As with the previous evening in Coursegoule, there's a small but adequate infrastructure here with several places to stop for refreshments, such as the Pizzeria Barricade, which is also open in the evenings (now closed on Wednesdays, not Thursdays), or La Vieille Auberge on the triangular main square (although only open until 16:00 PM).
