Thanks for the e-book on the Amalfi Coast! This is really helpful and I always like it when hikers can exchange ideas! My brother and I are considering running it in March. Do you think this month is suitable for this? I would also be interested in whether you find reservations for hotels in advance as absolutely necessary or whether you can always find a place somewhere along the way. Apart from that great side, really makes you want it! I would appreciate more inspiration and exchange opportunities. I ran 870km on the Camino de Santiago last year and am now looking for smaller long-distance hiking trails that I can walk again and again despite work.

Hello Caroline,
Your Camino-de-Santiago break sounds good :-) And thanks for your suggestions! Exchange opportunities = forum? I'll think about it!
Now to your questions: It would still be too fresh for me personally in March on the Amalfi Coast, but Bertram (see Comment from 15.03.2017) was on the road in the first half of March, for example, and was very enthusiastic.
The Amalfi Coast is very well developed for tourism, there are plenty of accommodations. Depending on the season, it can also be the case that all good and affordable accommodations are fully booked. Therefore, I would rather book in advance with the Amalfi Coast for cost reasons.
Regards
Frank
