Nice-Grasse: Arrival day

Our hiking route starts right at Nice Airport. If you caught an early flight and landed in the morning, you can go straight from here to the first stage without any further transfers. We did not arrive in Nice until late in the evening, which is why we initially spent the night near the airport. There are quite a number of airport hotels in Nice, but we preferred to start our journey with a short night walk: Nice Airport is less than 90 minutes' walk from Cagnes-sur-Mer and covers a distance of approx 5 km mostly back on promenades. You can warm up a bit in this way and spend the night in close proximity to the beach (bathing option the next morning).

Tip: Less than 2 km from the airport, directly after the bridge over the "Var" (see detour on the map), you will find a large shopping center, the Cap3000. There are several restaurants and a supermarket - perfect for first aid on the day of arrival.

Those who do not arrive by plane but by train or by car: the train stations "Gare de Cagnes-sur-Mer" or "Cros-de-Cagnes" are also suitable as a starting point for the hike (Google Maps: Gare de Cagnes-sur-Mer or Cros de Cagnes). These stations can also start on the return journey Grasse can be reached without changing trains so that cars parked nearby can be picked up again.
